As an affiliate of one of the nation’s largest health charities, United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan assists people with disabilities and their families through our service-based, individual-focused approach. We administer innovative programs that make a difference in the lives of the children and adults we serve, and in the communities they are a part of.

The Michigan Loan Funds

The Michigan Loan Funds are programs of United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan, which works in partnership with Option 1 Credit Union to provide loans for the purchase of needed technology or to reduce or eliminate barriers to employment . (more)

Work Incentives Planning and Assistance Project (WIPA)

The purpose of WIPA is to help people with disabilities, who are receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), to understand what will happen to their SSDI, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid and other benefits when they start or return to work. (more)

Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology, or AT, often plays a vital role in the lives of people with disabilities. But often when someone thinks of AT, they envision a product with a large price tag attached to it. But often that is not the case. (more)

Public Transportation Advocacy

UCP Michigan knows that people with disabilities face many barriers to transportation. We work to address these barriers and to eliminate as many as possible so that people with all disabilities can participate in their communities. (more)

Access to Faith Communities

People with disabilities want to be part of their communities. They want meaningful activities and social networks. They want to belong to community groups. But it isn’t always easy to get access to community life. (more)

Our Hopes for the Future

United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan hosted public forums around the state of Michigan in 2009. The purpose of the forums was to listen to people with disabilities and their families describe their hopes for the future. (more)
